We have concluded our Clinic for this year. We will post new information for the 2017 Boeing Classic Adaptive Golf Clinic in May 2017
The Boeing Classic and Virginia Mason Medical Center are proud to host the Adaptive Golf Clinic at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge. As part of the week’s events and activities supporting the region’s premier golf event, the Adaptive Golf Clinic endeavors to bring the game of golf to those with disabilities.
The “First Swing” program encourages golf as an excellent recreational and rehabilitation medium. If you have a disability that has prevented you from playing golf, whether is an amputation, stroke, MS, Parkinson’s Disease, arthritis, back pain or anything else that has held you back, this will be the day to learn adaptive techniques and be introduced to adaptive equipment from both therapists and golf teaching pros.
Highlights of the program include:
- A 30-minute hands-on instruction session pairing you with a Golf Teaching Pro and Therapist
- Instruction in methods of grip, stance, balance, and swing
- Demonstrations of adapted golf devices and equipment, if needed. (Adaptive golf carts available)
- Extra putting time after your lesson
The “First Swing” program is sponsored by: The National Amputee Golf Association (NAGA), Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and the Professional Golfer’s Association (PGA), Virginia Mason Medical Center Physical Medicine Department, and the Boeing Classic.
